I haven't listened to loaded, but to me Natalie sounds like the traffic intern on WWWX FM. Perhaps her voice training will improve the delivery, but it always sounds like she's reporting something. While literally that's what she's doing, it's a different delivery than BOL has had, and it makes me uncomfortable. Not turn off the show uncomfortable, but reminiscent of when someone violates the multi-urinal rule in the men's bathroom. You know, the one where if there are three stalls and you are in the left one, and a guy comes in, and instead of taking the far right one, leaving a comfortable gap, he takes the center one, adjacent to where you are. It doesn't stop you from enjoying the relief of urination, but just makes it a little different, a little uncomfortable.
Also Natalie seems like a little bit of a, uh, what's the word. I don't want to say it, I don't want to start throwing the crap around. You know, I've been listening for over 3 years, it's been a great program, but I'll be honest, my first impression of Natalie is that she's kinda condescending. That's the word.
My offer still stands to dress in drag and do a female voice over. I know, it's podcast, and I wouldn't need to dress entirely in drag, but it's what I'd do for the show.
