Question

I can't wake my PC up from hibernate.

Apr 20, 2018 1:17PM PDT

I put my computer to hibernate for (4 hours). Now I can't wake my PC up, my dell monitor displays 'no signal coming from computer...'.

I have tried to unplug every cable / turned off everything and restart but still the screen remains black and non of my USB port seems to be working (Mouse and keyboard not responding.)

I'm running out of ideas on what to do anymore. My computer was working perfectly fine and all of a sudden I can't seem to wake it up.

Any help would be appreciated as I have some urgert things to do.

Thank you.

Remove power then press and hold the power button for 60 seconds. This does a mini reset on many PCs. It does not wipe settings or drives.

Release the power button, apply your power cable (check it's plugged into a good socket with power) and then try again.

If this fails you need to supply more PC details to see what Dell or the maker has on troubleshooting.

I can't know all PCs so I go with generic instructions. For laptops we have more work and there are rare PCs with internal UPS systems that we need to disable. As such I can't be specific without deep details on the PC or device on hand.

All sorts of folk and PCs arrive here. Which means I have to write in broad terms.
