General discussion

i cant get rid of the boot screen

Apr 16, 2009 3:08PM PDT

I have dell inspirion 1525 with windows vista home premium and had a partition with windows 7 on it. i have deleted the windows 7 partition cause i needed more space on the windows vista side. except the screen where you choose the OS's still comes up with the option to choose operating system to go to. how can you get rid of the screen. if that is not possible... is there any way to change the order of which operating system to boot into. eg. windows 7 is now the OS on the top of the list, so when you wait the 30 secs it boots into that except there is no windows 7 so it just keeps restarting.

You can also use third party software like EasyBCD to edit the boot file. Simply delet the windows 7 entry and save it and then it will go away. EasyBCD is great for dual booting XP for game playing.
