I cant connect to internet from my other laptop using the sa

i tried using the troubleshooter but it wasnt able to identify the problem.actually the other laptop is infected with a virus that infects any external drive soon after its inserted in the port.As soon as i inserted my pendrive into the laptop it was infected. the virus created shortcut of the files in pendrive and replaced the original ones with the shortcut. i even searched for hidden files but could see any.now without internet access i cant fix the laptop. please suggest some ways....thank u

thank u for the response. but how do i install if i can neither download ubuntu using internet nor can i install through usb drive? have u got any ideas? i do have ubuntu in my laptop that i'm currently using but will it be of any help?

What about the computer you're using now? Download it, burn it to a DVD or something so there's no chance that anything can write to it, then boot from it.

Or if your laptop doesn't have a DVD drive, put a Linux distribution onto a flash drive, shut the laptop down, then make sure to tell it to boot off the flash drive not the internal HDD. Linux isn't a program, it's an entire OS.
