What does that mean, "It won't let me"?

To edit your email address goto your "View profile" link, (top right of the browser window), then click on the "Edit my account" option. You then have to log in using your old username, (old email address), and password, and this will take you to the "Manage your account" screen where you can amend your email address.

What part of this process doesn't work for you, and what error messages do you get?

That is a problem then,

because you need to be able to confirm you are who you say are to CNET before they will let you access your profile edit page.

I can't help you with your password, but tell us more about your email problems.

What do you mean by corrupted? What do you use to open/read/send emails? Outlook Express, Outlook, some other software like Thunderbird, or do you use a web based email account?
