NoSync - Possible Modem or Line Issue
Jul 20, 2017 9:22AM PDT

From what I can tell, your Internet connection, could be down or the modem/router may be getting Internet but is unable to relay it to your computer. It is a good idea to power cycle your modem and router and verify connectivity through a wired connection to the computer or a laptop. When the modem comes back on after about 30 seconds, note the status of the Power light, Internet lights (DSL/Cable and Internet), and Wifi light. These lights should be on. Should the DSL or Cable light be off upon power cycling the modem/router, you may have to call your ISP to test your line or test your modem/router.
Since you mentioned you were getting a DNS error, it would not hurt to run a malware scan or a full virus scan on the computer you got the error on. Malware and viruses may be detected and eliminated from the scanned device, and potentially eliminate the DNS error, restoring your Internet access.

My internet was down this morning.

I had to reset my cable modem. It's not easy as turning off the power as the cable modem has an internal battery under a snap cover.

But reset is done and it's back to working great. Seems to happen every few months so I'm not fixing this.

NoSync - Possible Modem or Line Issue <Follow-up>

Lkira1,

If you are still getting the DNS error after power cycling your modem, you should contact your ISP to see if they could test your modem. Your ISP has your line profile on hand and can test your modem for functionality, update the firmware if needed and look into possible line issues.

i think you should check your proxy settings first perhaps some had implemented the proxy on your network.
