Open Windows Live Mail

Then click the little down arrow to the left of the Home tab, then click Options -> Email accounts. Now click your account -> Properties. You'll find your email address there.

Answer
Consider Thunderbird.
Nov 13, 2013 12:11AM PST

If you use an email client like Thunderbird it holds that information in its setup so you don't have to remember it.

I read you've tried other forums and see you are upset at the lack of support.

So let's lay the problem where it belongs. Microsoft and those that lose the information. I see folk did try but time and time again you find folk asking for help on this and the same sad result.

User name etc.
Nov 13, 2013 12:42AM PST

For Windows Live/mail etc. User name should be E mail address, at which point one should be able to do a password reset, after following the instrucional from Windows Live...Search engine, Windows Live, input E mail address, cannot access account...password change. Typical MS route and a bit irritating..Gmail/Thunderbird, as you stated, are far more forgiving not to mention more secure.

I hear this one a lot.

And thanks for trying here. I hope the OP realizes who they are dealing with (MSFT) and that without that email info, it's a dark rainy day. Hope you're a duck or you may be unhappy.
