I cannot get COD2 to run

Sep 12, 2007 2:39AM PDT

I recently bought a new computer with windows vista on it, and have been working on getting all my games installed on it. well I went to install COD2 and it doesn't run. I have it set to run as admin, and run in compatibility mode for XP and it still won't run. when I put the CD in all that shows up is a black box in the middle of the screen. I went to my backup files from my old computer and took the actual files and tried to run them but it said that I had the wrong CD in, but I had the correct one in. so right now I am stumped. if anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it.

Frankly? Make it a warranty issue.

Ask the machines maker for cure or full refund.

I actually build the computer myself, well by bro helped but still. cant exactly ask for a refund from myself now can I? I have successfully installed all of my other games, and the only one I have had trouble with was BF2142 and thats because I lost the activation code.

Now that I know who installed the OS that leads us to the most common gaffe in install all versions of Windows. Those awful drivers. Tell me about the drivers (all of them) that you installed AFTER you had finished with the Microsoft Vista DVD.
