Is the optical drive on your computer
by boya84 / November 20, 2007 5:20 AM PST

a DVD drive? Have you used DVDs in it before? Can you launch a DVD player application and watch the contents?

If it is a DVD drive, opening the disc and treating those files like normal files will not work. You need to rip the DVD (with a DVD ripper - I use HandBrake).

Warning: The video will be poor quality. This is not HandBrake's fault - but caused by the way video is stored by the camcorder onto the DVD. There is no way to improve this.
