i can't install IE6

Good Morning

It is a long time that i'm trying to install IE6 but i can't.i have a windows millennium.At the end of installation a messagge tell me that some components are not been installed(browser,outlook,etc..)Now i have IE5.5 someone can tell me how can i solve this problem?Thank you

IE just isn't good. It's full of security risks and installs lots of spyware on your system. Hopefully, they would fix some of the problems on IE 7. Too bad it doesn't come separately.

In the meantime, try Mozilla. It automatically imports all your existing IE bookmarks, and blocks popups as well as adware/spyware.

IE6 can be installed on Windows 98 and higher. Not on Windows 95, but certainly on Windows ME.
Obviously, something is wrong with your machine, but there's not a single clue what it could be. I think your alternatives are:
- continuing to use 5.5 (without current security fixes)
- turning to another browser (like Firefox mentioned in the other post)
- reinstalling Windows ME from scratch, then installing IE6
