others agree or disagree with the post, it is the vile degrading nature of each and every post relating to how the U.S or any part of our political system conducts itself. It is the way he distorts the reality of the situations he writes as truths. It is the utter disrespect for the office of the POTUS. It is the condesending way he places himself in the elite of society and others as unintellegent idiots.
I am sick of it, I will not take it anymore and if it means Speakeasys fate is in question then it is time for TPTB to do something about it other than penning a letter to be ignored.

Many here have accused others of the same.
Not that it makes it right.
"We may all trust those that fit our views more, but we also have to realize that there are different points of view while presenting facts."
What? What? What's that about? ![]()
ALL of Robs posts. If the members keep pushing that offensive modalert button, you are going to lose this forum. Is it worth it for sake of one individual who is high on some kind of Meds and can't control himself. NO Send e-mails to the Mods and ignore him.

(The forum without Rob)
After a ship sank in the ocean, three men ended up stranded in a lifeboat. They floated around for days without food or water. One afternoon a bottle floated up to the boat. The men grabbed the bottle and when they pulled the cork out of the bottle, a genie appeared.
?I?ll grant each of you a single wish,? said the genie.
?I wish I was home,? said the first man. Poof! He disappeared.
?I wish I was home, too,? said the second man. Poof! He disappeared too.
The third man looked around. ?Gee, I?m kind of lonely,? he said. ?I wish my friends were here with me.?
What about all the nasty vitriol coming from the Right in this forum? Will you ModAlert those as well? If not, then I'd have to label that hypocrisy.
It appears to me that a lot of forum members here are quick to label as inappropriate almost any post that questions their political views.
Take a careful look at the posts attacking Rob. There are a lot of people here who say truly nasty things in response to posts from both DaveK and Rob (and occasionally others) REGARDLESS of content. Personally I find that offensive even when I don't agree with Rob and/or DK.
Furthermore, Lee has already made it clear that the wanton use of mod alerts has to end. If you want to violate his instructions purely out of spite, that's up to you. It is clear, though, that it truly is purely out of spite.
...''I especially liked the looks on BUSH'S STUPID FACE as he had to sit there and take it, as it dawned on him that HE AND HIS FATAL ROT would be bathed...etc etc etc...''? Now don't misunderstand, Rob can say anything he wants....BUT SO CAN THE OTHER SIDE. But ''stupid face'' and ''fatal rot'' doesn't appear to me to be very objective and should not be left unchallenged.
Charles M. Ashley's article was quoted by Rob and the article contained what Ashley said about 'Bush's face' & 'the fatal rot', not Rob:

The first is a pattern of trolling where a posted item is clearly intended to draw fire. These occur daily. Sometimes several times a day.
The second is the tendency of our leftist members to post into a discussion with items that, again, seem designed to draw a response. It happens repeatedly as reasonable discussions are hijacked, and drawn down the tubes. I have watched this happen many times.
AS far as leftist posting what they know will draw fire.
BUT DAMN IT ALL, it's just as bad from the right.
I disagree with most of Rob's positions. I think a lot is downright wrong.
But I also remember he's been attacked since day 1 here. He's retaliated in kind, and gotten as good as anyone here in spiking the punch, but he's not alone.
Nor is it always ''leftists''.
I've been attacked by both sides at one time or the other honestly. So what.
I was initially identified with the right, and during a long battle with a former poster, that position got calcified for a while. Given several disagreements in the last year with old and new conservatives, I doubt I'm regarded so favorable anymore. Shrug, so what.
However, often when I'm arguing with some on (what I consider) the extreme left, I get support from some that make me groan and think to myself, ''Please don't help me.''
This is a predominately conservative board politically, more so than I am in fact. So most of the accusations of trolling are on those of the left. And sometimes posts are made that everyone here knows will call a flame contest. Heck, I've disputed with those I disagree with less and less, just because I don't particularly want to be in the dogpile with the responses I know are coming.
I've been attacked as a fence straddler, as wishy washey, etc, just because I often don't think an easy answer or even a clear moral answer exists. So what.
Quite frankly, any post by a leftest here that is expressing strong reaction to news or such will draw fire. Some are out of line, some are baiting, and some although the poster knows will inflame are still legitmate posts. The instant flame from the opposites allow someone to start a flame ware with a carefully worded post that can't be in itself be justifiable called inciting. But they know there are enough ready to esculate to post a topic that will instantly descend into name calling, insults, positions with now interest in debating, accusations of baiting, etc.
Hell, those that post such are wrong. Those that help esculate it, often with no further contribution by the orginator, are as wrong.
I lose it sometimes too, but I try to realize it when I do. Sometimes I don't. And the longer time members (some longer than me honestly) will remember some pretty extended conflicts between me and certain past members. Some of those will no doubt call me hypocrite now.
Everyone has something they can't ignore, but in my not so humble opinion, when I posted long debates/arguements/fights, I tried my best to navigate between out and out ''I'm right and you're always wrong'' and not calling what I saw as wrong. Sometimes maybe I succeeded, I'm sure often I did not.
However, while we have 'leftists' posts here that IMO are calculated to inflame, anyone that doesn't buy the prevalent opinion here immediately draws microscopic scrunity and stalking to refute everything they state.
Yes reasonable discussions get hijacked down the tubes, but it ain't one sided.
The same thing happens on leftest boards when a right leaning crusader shows up. The most common remark to both is why don't you leave and go somewhere you'll be happier if you don't like it here.
Hell, sometimes I wonder myself. But that's the way of the world I guess.
I've been wrong and will be again. But I'm never going to believe anyone is always right.
And anyone that finds themself in the middle gets it from both sides. Actually having someone on both 'sides' attack you may be the best verification you're near right you can get.
Ok, I've put myself square in the middle of the battle field between sides with a bullseye painted on me.
Have fun, I'll survive.
Besides, I'm finding less and less interest in trying to understand some of the rancor here. I'll just read it, evalute if for anything worth raising my bloodpressure, and move on.
Hit me with you best shot.
Roger
I am responding to what I deem offensive material and what I feel may infringe on the TOS or the LETTER not the fact that he believes differently than I, I welcome people with whom I may engage in a good debate with but bring facts not slanderous propaganda. Don't be so damn shocked, it's not like people including myself haven't been openly complaining for a very long time with seemingly no change in his posting habits. I am truely sorry if you think my action is the wrong one but, I am sick of his hate speak for my country and will not let it go on anymore period. If that means moving up the chain of command I will do that, that my friend is how it is done (give the underlings - no offence to anyone intended - a chance if they drop the ball move up the ladder).
Go ahead and question my political views all you want but be arguementative and not vitriolic. I believe what I believe with passion and pray each day others will as well. Argue, don't ridicule me and my beliefs.
I have had some cordial discussions with others having opposing viewpoints here many times including with Rob but lately he is impossible, he is not making a arguement one can respond to without adding fuel to the flame and if you pay attention, each post will have people up front complaining about his tactics. I do not believe I am alone.
Not spiteful, just done.

Just lack someone hollering, ''Get a Rope''.
And here you and most are not from the deep south. ![]()
Guess I've said enough with my above post, so will close.
what do you mean and what posts are vitriolic by him?
In any case, I have a feeling that if you keep hitting the ModAlert button you will probably be the one to get banned before.
Bush declares himself above the law and the Constitution...
Rush Limbaugh, ''I entered into an agreement with the District Attorney...
Oh, rest assured that I firmly believe Bush to be the worst President the United States has ever had...
So, not only was she covert, she was working on Iran's nuclear enrichment program which is the next big thing that could bite Georgie and his friends in the ***. This Administration sure knows how to shoot itself in both feet.
But of course, because Georgie thinks anything he does is right, and legal, all appearances to the contrary, and because his followers here do too, I suppose there will be much dispute here over the facts carried in this article. Patrick Fitzgerald for President.
An event I'm sorry wasn't covered more extensively.
Just watching the news, and particularly Rush Limbaugh's
performance today in announcing that he was Not Guilty (by reason of mental disease or defect?) of the charges he's reached a plea agreement on.
The DA was later seen leaving the building in the shape of a hoop with his head touching his heels he bent over backwards so far.
How nice it must be to live in Republicanland, never having to accept responsibility for the war, the deficit, the Hurricane, the incipient American Gulag, the Pill scandal, God the list is endless.
That's right, the Republicans have never craved power
In what fantasyland do you live? I may not be wildly enthusiastic about the Dems but the Repubs make the flesh crawl. Tom Delay, Newt Gingrich, the Veep, the Pres. None of them ever craved public office, or thought God wanted them to be President, or campaigned for it. No sir. The GOP is pristine and unsullied by ambition. Or, judging by this post, insight or intelligence.
By the way, how did Bush win the 2000 election in Florida? Every news service in the world saw it as a scam.
Need more, I will hunt them down for you.
