I am trying to get an .apf formatted document

And I want to know what program(s) uses an .apf format? It seems to be a graphic program of some sort.

I am trying to get the .apf document to a sign maker so he can print out a vinyl decal for a car.

That may be what you want to do, but I also have a question.

"Do you know what the source application was that produced this file you have? Where did the file come from?"

Sorry, Bob, but I don't know who generated the original sign. I have a .jpg of it but the sign maker wants the .apf for a clearer image.

AHA!!! You don't have a APF file.

Since you have no application to create the .APF then tell the sign maker that's all you have (jpeg.)

I have been running an Imac 24' for about 3 months now and I thought that if I had the application that could convert th jpg to apf I would do it for the sign maker, but I guess I don't. Thanks

come from.

Most of the "large art and I need it clear" stuff of which I am aware would typically come in the form of .tif (TIFF) because this format does not use very much compression.

I can find no similar "definition" for any ".apf"...

I could not find anything definite either. Only some vague references to Apple.

if the printer thinks that APF is something to do with APple Format?

If there is no clear trail leading to this format, and if it is something that a printer can work with, then the printer would be the best one to tell you what to create the file in.

After all, the printer has to be able to read that .apf file with some program.

If it is a graphics format, it sure is keeping a low profile.

Ask the printer
