I've watched more than a few get WINE up and running on Linux then the poor soul discover that... not much works. Most (too high a percentage) thought they would be able to run some of the new 3D games on WINE.

Be sure why you want WINE up and running.

PS. Maybe google has your answer.

even if you install Wine, it is pretty useless. Couple this with the fact that WineX is not free, and you have a hard dicision. chuck

No. Here's why.

You can use the instructions, but with that "CRACK" issue, no one here can help you with that issue.

Let me ask this. Did you try the system noted? What step is eluding you? (Remember that cracks and not to be discussed here.)

I'll point out some things you may not know. You obviously figured out that WineX is available, but you have to pay for it(Transgaming). Wine itself doesn't
work very well(if at all) anymore. This is by design. Microsoft configures programs(they are on record admitting it) so they won't work with Wine. Some others follow suit. A lot of gaming companies don't care about Linux users, because they mistakenly assume all those
people not using Mac must be using Windows. Not true, and even a larger and larger percentage dual-boot with Linux,
and often prefer using it. chuck
