A few things;
1. Deleting files won't make your computer run faster. Not in a way you'll notice, anyway.
2. Making a backup is useful, of course. It reduces the risk you'll lose the files if anything happens to the PC.
3. A DVD can contain 7 times as much data as a CD. So it's far less work and far cheaper to use a DVD-burner than a CD-burner.
4. External burners are more expensive than internal burners. Why do you want an external one?
I am looking for some kind of external CD writer to use to back up files so I can get them off my computer.
My goal is to free up space so my computer will run faster. My computer is
System Model: MS-6743.
My OS is Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
Version:5.1.2600 Service Pack: 2.0
I am looking on ebay. What do I need to look for? I want to buy a good one, but I don?t have very much money to spend.
