Question

I am having a problem opening backup files. I came across

Jun 15, 2011 3:51PM PDT

software called Regtask that claims to be able to open backup files and fix just about everything on a computer. The problem is I checked the cnet reviews and get a blank response. McAfee site advisor gives the site a green check. Is there anyone outhere familiar with the product. The free download comes from http://www.newpcfix.com/

1. What is a 'backup file'? How did you make it?
2. I can't find that claim in the link you gave.
3. This program seems one of the myriad of socalled registry cleaners that we definitively advice to NOT use.

From their site: "RegTask normally retails at $39.95, with the option of including an Advanced Fix System for advanced errors."

DON'T!!!

I recieve the message windows cannot open this files because they are of a file type .bkf. because I don't have a clue as to where to begin to look on the computer I follow the second suggestion which is to go to the internet. Invariably the first sites that are listed are for sale, like the regmechanic at the begining of my thread.
