huawei ar1220w restore default

i have an old router that i want to repurpose,model huawei ar1220w.

i don't know the password it was used as a router until a while back, when i changed the internet provider.

i want to reset the configuration to default so that i can login and change the settings.


web management is disabled as far as i can see.

i tried to login with console, but the default BootRom passwords that i tried were not working (admin, Admin@huawei, Admin@huawei.com, Admin@Huawei, huawei, administrator, Administrator, Admin123, admin123).


any ideeas how can i reset the bootrom password or upload another configuration/firmware so that i can enable web/cli management and stil use the router?

edit: i eventually tracked down the person that was responsabile with networking and he told me the router password.

if you don't know any of the 3 passowrds you can not access the router,to reset the router you need to know one pasword - either bootrom password if it was changed from default one, or console password or cli/web user/password (if it has not been disabled)
