I always use https on my browser. I have https everywhere plug in and that usually take care of making my connections secure. if you know the correct address and know it is an authentic website, the plugin makes the connection secure. one always has to pay attention to what is actually in the address bar.
When I visit a variety of different sites, sometimes I get http>website.com other times https:>website.com & sometimes I'll type https:bank name.com (which tells me can't find or can't connect. I'm wondering if it matters if it is one or the another? Does https ensure my browsing safety or the sites' safety? In simple terms I'd like to understand what the differences are to me. Are sites without https dangerous to visit? Thank you for helping me understand this.
