html Filter for Office 2003

May 6, 2005 3:21AM PDT

Hi all

I need to filter all of the word-specific html entries from a html file created from a word document. I am using Word/Office 2003, and can save a word document as "web page, filtered", however this does not remove all of the word-specific coding and causes some development software to crash when the incorrectly filtered html is loaded into it. Microsoft released a tool named "Office 2000 HTML Filter 2.0", but (as the name implies) it only works for Office 2000, not 2003 as I have. I've checked the MS site but have not managed to find a suitable version of this tool for Office 2003. Does anyone knoew if such a tool exists? alternatively, are there any other tools that might be used for this purpose?

All advice gratefully received

Matt

Bob

Many thanks for that, I'll try it today.

Unfortunately I cannot fix the software we are using, as it is being developed by a third party who seems intent on adding functionality before making sure everything works as planned. We think the current problem is caused by Word leaving a few extra lines of html after filtering, I guess I'll find out in a little while if this is the case!
