It did good. You can try rooting, flashing (which I've yet found support anywhere but XDA Forums) but it looks dead from what you wrote.
It must have been nice but time to go shopping.
This is an Android ( 2012 ) HTC One X, model PJ83100. I've had the phone since that year. BTW, at the time of purchase, AT&T was our carrier, and the phone "is still" locked by AT&T, I believe. There are all sorts of AT&T apps in the phone that cannot be used in the first place. It does have a sim card, and at present, Consumer Cellular is our carrier.
The MAIN problem is that now, the phone is acting like it is going to have to be bricked. I can, with some work...and a litle luck, get what appears to be a HBOOT / FASTBOOT screen, that has 3 huge bar codes at the bottom. I can also ( with work & luck ) get another similar screen, without the barcodes at the bottom, and not as many commands on the screen.
I am wanting to try and get the phone back to "normal Android". I have been to other Android forums, and received information that I tried, but it failed. The phone, on occasion, will boot up to the HTC logo creen, but it fades away after about 10 seconds, BUT by looking closely at the screen afterwards, I can see a gray colored screen, just enough to tell that the phone is still on.
I did not do a single thing to cause this. It just happened overnight, while I was asleep. ???? HELP please. I live on a fixed income, and the prices of good, new smartphones are pretty much out of reach for me. Thank you in advance to any member that can help.
