thecosmichobo,
Unfortunately, I'm not sure where the information came from. The info part of the player lists it as a different model?
If so, I'd contact the Samsung customer service center in your region to see what can be done. If it's supposed to support formats and it doesn't, they may be able to look into the matter and find a solution.

G'day,
I purchased a Samsung HTC655W home theatre package.
I've been a bit underwhelmed with a few aspects of it - Divx playback, USB file system, time to eject a disk, time to start passing through digital audio, and lack of remembering "last position" on DVDs...
When I wrote an email to Samsung to mention these things, I performed a "get info" so to speak, checking the DVD player's version number. Instead of saying 665W as I'd expected, it said it was a 550.
Is this just because the DVD player itself is a 550, but as a whole package, it is known as a 665W??? Or - is there some software issue at play here?
Thanks
cosmic
