I'm sorry to hear that you're having this issue.
Do you choose the 5.1 output option in either the game console, or on the DVD's title menu, where you can adjust the sound for 5.1 outputs? It seems strange that the test tones didn't give an indication if the sound was working.
I would recommend trying to choose a 5.1 audio selection in a disc menu and see if that helps. If not, it may be advisable to exchange the unit or have it repaired.
i bought HT-C655w in yesterday. i tried many time to test the speaker working or not on test tone in the setting, only the back speakers didnt come any sound. it same happen when i played any DVD and blu-way disc my playstation 3(connected by optical cable)!
i tried many ways to solved the problem, but it wasnt help:
1. the back speakers are connecting to home theatre by wireless reception. i followed the setup on the manual to reset the wireless reception and home theatre, and it worked............ 1-2 sec only! the 2 lights in wireless reception was blue on(link) after 1-2sec red light on(standby).
2 i tried to connect the back speakers without wireless reception
3 swapped the front speakers and back speakers and test it again, but it wasn't work....
does anyone can help me to solve this problem?
