You might try calling the router's technical support to see if your firewall or other settings are keeping the connection from going through.
You can test the player itself to see if it's working properly by bypassing the router and hooking the unit directly up to the modem. If it's able to pass through, then the issue is in the router.
I have a Samsung HT-BD1250 Blu-Ray player and a THOMSON ST546 router, and I`m trying to connect to the Internet using a Samsung wireless LAN Adapter. The Blu-Ray player recognises the wireless network, but is unable to connect to it. When I run the test to check the network connection, the MAC address is okay, but there seems to be a problem with the IP address, gateway, DNS server, etc. Is there anyone who knows what can be done to make the wireless connection work?
