If hardware conflicts with software, then install drivers for new hardware.
If in doubt, find compatible hardware. (Of course, this is silly, because vendor lock in is a bad practice.)
Can i enable video out thru the VGA connection via adaptor to composite or s-video. i purchased one of these devices and the info said that it would only work with pcs/laptops that had the capability to do so. my Acer 5050 would not do this. The onboard video chipset in the HP apparently has it's limitations. If i install PCI video card with Video Out, will it conflict with the Media Center drivers and cause even more problems. Would an FX5500 geforce card that is pci [not pci express] do an adequate job. It would not require me to replace 300 watt power supply in order to upgrade.
