HP6005Pro desktop problems running Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.20

I have the hardware mentioned above running XP SP2 that will accept the installation of Acrobat 8.20 Pro and Standard with no errors. But, when I launch the app, it hangs up. Task Manager indicates that it is "Not Responding" and has to be forced closed. I have several other computers in my lab, and this model is the only one that has this problem.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this?

First question I have is, why are you not running with Windows XP SP3?

XP SP vs SP3

SP2 is a requiement of my client; they have not authorized migration to SP3 yet.
