HP zx500 vs. HP zd7000

by efk1980 / February 3, 2004 12:36 AM PST

Hello. I am trying to decide between the new HP zx5000 and the critcally acclaimed HP zd7000. I haven't been able to find any comprehensive reviews of the zx5000. Can anyone tell me anything about it?

The zd7000 in my opinion has a design flaw. Why would you want an unit that will overheat just sitting on a flat desk. Propping up the back with a pencil seems to solve this but this shows they need to think more about reliability.

That's my outlook and I'm sticking to it.

The zx5000 suffers from a similar issue plus it's not a single model, but something that you will see offered in Staples and more as a "customizable" laptop.

My vote on these units is to keep walking.

I though being customizable was a good thing. What are the drawbacks to a line not being a single model?

I recently bought a HP ZX5040us and love it.

The most beautiful phone ever has one wildly annoying issue

The Samsung Galaxy S8's fast speeds and fantastic curved screen make it a top phone for 2017, but the annoying fingerprint reader could sour your experience.
