It doesn't come with dual-channel and not that good battery life. It's not the best, nor worst so in between. Cnet doesn't have time for a regular notebook like this, especuially since it isn't very popular compared to the notebooks equipped with Pentium Ms...

Yeah about the hole battery life thing I have sat the hp zv6000 (AMD 3500 2.2 GHz) right next to a dell 810(Pentium M 2.0 GHz) and the hp has a little longer battery life. Could have something to do with the dell only having a 9 cell battery vs. the hp?s 12 cell, but sense dell?s don?t com w/ 12 cell?s I figure it?s a moot point when discussing the note book itself. Plus I have read in researching these notebooks about the two processors a discovered that it?s more of a fifty-fifty split. Certain programs are designed to work better on the Intel chips. However with MS saying that they won?t redesign their next 64 bit OS for another chip, Intel?s next chips have to conform to the athlon's 32/64 bit architecture. So I think we?ll see a change shortly. Finally I think most will agree that you shouldn?t buy a desktop replacement notebook if battery life is your top concern.

I bought two of these laptops, specs:

AMD 64 3200+, 256Mb Ram, 40 Gb HDD, 15" screen, CDRW/DVD. Got them at Office Depot for an awesome $ 629 each.

I upgraded to 512 Mb Ram, pcmcia wireless, and I love them. They are fast, the screen is beautiful, and you cannot beat this price.

After upgrade, it still came under $ 700.

Dell doesn't use AMD ( a pity ), and anything they sell that comes close to the speed of the zv6000 costs more than $ 1500 ( Dell 9300 ).
