Give them one support call and if it fails, take it back and get a Windows 7 machine.
Why should you be an experimental subject?

New HP last week, have loaded Windows 8, Quicken 2013, printer, scanner and all doing fine except when I open Quicken: "this is data file only and have read-only permission" When opening Quicken from the desktop it allows me to run as administrator, allows me to back up; however, upon closing the message is displayed "1. Login into your computer as a user that has administrator privileges 2. store you Quicken date file in a folder specific to you name. Not sure if this is a Quicken as they do not list Windows 8 in their troubleshooting or Microsoft call? Do you have a remedy?
