HP Warranty scam

by HPScammers / March 28, 2017 5:57 AM PDT

I sent a laptop to HP to get it fixed with the warranty because it had a broken hinge (and ONLY a broken hinge) they sent it back to me with no cover around the front of my screen and 1/4 of its processing speed and 1/10th of its wifi range and told me that the warranty doesn't cover the damage done to the computer, no !@$%! it doesn't cover the damage, so either my mailman hates me or HP will destroy your computer in order to not have to fix it

I'd call that a tragedy.

My story is similar. At 3 months, in warranty after over 8 hours on the phone to support they gave up and sent me a box for the laptop. At the time I didn't think anything bad about HP.

The machine came back the next week to only lock up in 5 minutes plus have the original problem.

Calls and web surveys over the next 6 months did not get it resolved and insults from their support were had as well. They seemed annoyed I would expect HP to stand behind the warranty.

That was my last HP product.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
