control panel > system > device manager > monitors > deleted generic non PnP monitor.
unplugged monitor, restarted computer, plugged monitor back in after restart, looked back in device manager > monitors and mine was listed, FINALLY!
Tried to run monitor CD "My Display" software. It loaded but will not run. The error is that it stopped working and windows tried to find a solution.
Vista Home Premium. HP Pavillion. HP w1907 LCD
Adobe updated today 11/11/08 and after the system rebooted, the settings on my monitor are altered.
The settings in control panel look the same as before.
I tried to run "My Display" that used to help adjust the HP settings and the program said my monitor is not supported. I uninstalled My Display software - no good.
I ran the installation CD for the monitor and it quit saying I have the wrong monitor connected.
I am thinking about uninstalling adobe acrobat to see if that will help.
Is there anything I can do to make the system recognize this monitor as it is HP w1907?
TIA
