HP TC1100 Built In Mouse Issues.

by jchevin / January 14, 2010 3:01 PM PST

Hi Everyone, This is my first post so i might not get some things right!
First of I have a very good knoweledge of computers, i have built and upgraded several yet this is something i cannot seem to fix. I bought about a day ago of TradeMe (New Zealand's version of Ebay) a HP TC1100 tablet for school, and it is in a good condition and has 512mb of RAM (i am planning to upgrade) a 160GB HDD and a 1.2Ghz Pentium M processor. The issue i am having is that the mouse point stick and mouse buttons are not functioning at all, yet the keyboard functions completely to my knoweledge. I have checked that there are drivers installed, i have checked the recovery discs for any other drivers and i have no idea what the issues with it is. The mouse is not disabled in bios (there is not option to enable or disable it). Any help would be appreciated!

TC1100 Point Stick Issues
by jchevin / January 20, 2010 11:47 AM PST

I used the live chat on HP's website and got nowhere, the person told me to send the unit to a service centre. But i get the feeling the issue is software or OS as it was working a for the previous owner as he changed the hdd and reinstalled the OS. But it still isnt working after a system restore. Its really starting to bug me. It also doesnt work in the first boot screen (when it asks if you want to enter bios) when a cursor appears and can be moved by the touchscreen but not by the pointstick.
Im really stumped.

In reply to: Help!

Read the link provided. NOTICE THE DRIVER LOCATIONS.

They are not on a web page. You and I could not find these. We must ask HP!
