HP T5054 Power Supply Clicking

by kasmith08 / May 28, 2009 1:46 AM PDT

I have a 50 inch plasma model HP T5054. The tv has stopped working after a loud noise was made, much like a pop. If you try to turn the tv on there is no picture and no sound, only a clicking noise coming from the power supply on the back side. I was wondering what the problem may be. I am fairly certain that it is a blown power supply but was not sure if the problem extended past the power supply and if there was any way of knowing. Thanks.

kasmith08,

Without looking at it, it's difficult to diagnose the extent of the issue. I might recommend having a service tech make a diagnosis based on what he can see.

Just read your post and my model hp t5054 is doing the exact same thing. I noticed it's been a couple of years since you posted your question, but i was just wondering if you ever figured out what the problem was with your plasma. Any info you have would be appreciated. Thanks!

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
