I will not do your research for you and I can't know which items you want to keep. However, I will help you learn how to research each item and then you can decide to keep an item or disable it.

Take the itme in question and type it's name into http://www.google.com In most cases, the first page of links will give you an article about what the item is for. For instance, if you find the item is for using the keyboard function keys and you want to keep it, then you keep it.

www.hp.com is where I went to. HP Pavilion PC's- Description of startup items listed in msconfig(system configuration utility) for Windows XP. This will list all the items advised not to remove from the System Configuration Utility. (msconfig). It should also give you a list of optional and not required items in the system configuration utility. When you find out the items that are optional go to your run box and type in msconfig. Good luck
