Go to hp drivers and support, type in your model number, there are likely two variants for that unit, find the full driver version for your unit according to OS, download and save the full version to doc files. From document files you can burn a copy (CD) and load to your system, give that a shot, good luck!!
I have an HP Photosmart C5180 All In One Printer.
I run a PC with Windows XP SP3 installed.
For some reason I cannot find HP Scanning Solution Center program anywhere on my machine. I have uninstalled the printer and software 4 times and reinstalled twice each using the CD that came with the printer and again using the program downloaded from HP download center.
I am able to open the scanner for images but cannot scan a document and save to PDF or TXT format. This function disappeared about a year ago, but since I did not do much scanning I ignored it. Now I am doing a lot of scan work and need to solve the issue.
I posted on HP's support forum but have had no response. I have requested help from HP Support but don't even receive acknowledgement from them.
Hopefully I will find a careing person on CNet to help me.
