Hp Printers

Apr 5, 2006 2:52PM PDT

I currently use an HP PSC 1401 All-In-One. It's not a bad printer! It does all the scannig and printing things i want it to do. My Dad has a similiar, but newer, model. Again, not bad. What I wanna know is, why does the HP software have to be soooo big? It eats up system resources, and gets cranky when you disable/enable through msconfig. HP could stand to learn a thing or two about streamlining their software.

Hi.
Does anyone know why mine keeps on shoving paper in it?
1.When I turn it on,it starts printing but I haven't got it connected to the computer.
2.When I plug the plug in,it flashes lights but when it's supsose to turn off,the power button keeps on with no other lights.
3.When I turn it off,it won't turn off!

If you still have warranty: call it in.
If out of warranty: buy another one.

They're not that bad!

I inherited a LaserJet 5P back in 2002. I can't use the HP driver 'cos HP forgot to clear the "Div by Zero" flag causing Lotus 123 to crash and burn -- it's really a HP bug! -- but OTOH the MS driver is very very good.

6 pages a minute, let them cool for 10-15 minutes and you can double-side in the hand-feeder.

Bullet-proof!
