Resolved Question

HP Printer not printing images via Right Click in Win 8.1

May 8, 2015 1:18AM PDT

I have a HP Deskjet 3545 All in one printer and recently built my own PC running an authentic version of Windows 8.1 Pro.

Since the last few weeks, i am not able to print jpegs and practically images of any other format by using the built in Windows "Right Click" on the image to print button. It takes up the command, the printer makes all the normal mechanical noises which means it is about to print, but it simply prints BLANK papers !!

And i want to add that, Word documents print perfectly normal, 'images' in a particular Word Doc print perfectly normal, the Windows TEST page also prints just fine.

Just to be sure, i uninstalled all the drivers and cleared the registry and REinstalled the Drivers from the HP download center, but the problem still exists.

And i looked up online and HP's twitter support and they finally suggested this. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929833
I did all the steps given there and found 4 corrupted files in Windows. But i don't know how to make those right! It's quite complicated to get a fresh 'file'. I don't know where the problem lies but im really fed up. Hopefully someone can help me here.

The corrupted files are

I've had 8 and 8.1 for a long time and have to paste such in word or paint then print. Since Microsoft has flubbed so much in the past I never thought about this as a bug.

With 8.x less is more.

A lot of what happened in Windows 8 was what most call deprecation. A lot of old API calls were culled and with that went a lot of issues. Sure it broke a few apps but for a decade it was known these were going away.

Since I was never sure of the resulting print back in XP and 7 with the right click print, even then I would pull up Word or Paint to make something and preview. Then I knew what the printer would spit out.
