Question

HP Printer Networking

Apr 25, 2017 11:59AM PDT

Have a Windows 10 notebook and would want to connect to an HP D110 and another HP Wifi printer. The printers are in a place where I do not have WiFi access. Have a Linksys router and would ask if there is a way to network the notebook and the printers through the router. Goal is to scan items and send them to the notebook.

In short, you connect the printers to the notebook, install drivers and then share the printers. All this is on the web so I never duplicate exact steps like that. Just note how and move to the next problem.

As to the goal, you would scan and send them to the shared printer or if you are wanting to save the scan, well that's me second guessing what your real goal was. To send them to the notebook would have us scan and save to the shared storage on the notebook. Sorry if I second guess you meant print it.

printer to connect to the wireless network and set the password. Once on that network if you select add a printer it will look for new devices. Typically it will identify the printer by the IP address. When you attempt to add the device it will pop up if it finds it and you have to click on it to add it.
