HP has had some problems with the paper pick up rollers getting coated with paper dust and the coating off the treated paper used in most inkjet type papers. Using Q-tips and isopropal alcohol, clean the pickup rollers and try it again. The extra sheet feed at the end is the fault of Vista and the handshaking with the printer. If it picks up and feeds the first sheet okay after cleaning, the extra blank sheet at the end problem should go away.
The printer has been working fine, then the last few times that I have tried to print a document it will start to feed a sheet through the rollers it stops half way. And then I get a jam notice. Once I clear the paper it will print my document then when it gets finished it will feed a blank sheet through. Its haunted. Any ideas? By the way its only about 2 1/2 years old. Any help is greatil appreciated.
I'm using vista ultimate and the printer is a hp deskjet 6840.
