hp pavillion G7 automatically turns off

by first12finish / July 26, 2014 5:19 AM PDT

Hi, i have had this Hp Pavillion G7 Notebook/laptop and for some reason it keep automatically turning off even when it is pretty cool and the charge is at basically 100%. The only way i can keep the laptop on is by plugging the AC charger to it and keeping it on as long as the computer is on. I want to know if there is a way that I can use the computer without having to use the AC charger. If anyone know whats wrong with my notebook/laptop and how to solve it, please help me out and answer this question. Thanks.

P.S. this is a Windows 8.1 laptop running intel processor and it has hp coolsense technology. Thanks again for the help.

All 8.1 laptops are very new.

Given my last experience with HP's repair I suggest you get what you can't lose off this one and then exchange or return it. A new 8.1 laptop should not do this.

If it's too old for return or exchange ...

and you still are inside the 1 year warranty period (possibly even extended?) use that.

As you may recall.

Our office had a 3 month old HP that HP could not correct the issue and to make matters worse made it worse in their repair center. I gave HP 6 months of calls, feedback before I started sharing the story here and there.

There are others that experienced such which is why I think it's best to go for refund to try again rather than chance it in HP's repair centers.

And to be fair HP's social media did reach out but was unable to clear it up so something did go horribly wrong with HP.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
