HP Pavillion dv9233cl code 19 error (HL-DT-ST DVDRAMGSA-4084

I played a dvd on my laptop, at first it did not want to play, after several attempts the dvd played, however the play back was not smooth.I ejected the dvd, and know my laptop does not recognize the dvd drive at all. dvd player will load disks, however it will not play. I went into the Device Manager, and it through A code (Code 19) "Windows can not start this hardware device because it's configuration information (in the registry)is incomplete or damaged" Code19.The Device Manager has a yellow triangle with an expanation mark by the HL-DT-ST DVDRAMGSA-4084N ATA DEVICE. I uninstalled the device and rebooted, however it still did not work. Please help
