HP Pavillion dv2000 webcam issues

Aug 28, 2007 1:23PM PDT

So I just got this computer less than 6 weeks ago and my webcam does not work. It worked one time and now the blue light doesn't even come on. I can watch the sample videos on Quickplay. I tried accessing my webcam through Muvee Autoproducer and that didn't work. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the webcam driver and that didn't work. I have already spent 2 hours online with HP and they think I have a hardware malfunction. That doesn't make sense since this is a brand new computer. I do have VISTA. Someone please help me. I need to videoconference with my family. I even tried using a separate webcam using my USB port and it wouldn't work with MSN messenger. Please help!!

Hilary

It's a warranty issue. Let them fix it.
