HP Pavilion ZT3200 Display ?

Feb 6, 2005 5:00PM PST

First of all, I have had my notebook for a year with absolutely no problems. HP Pavilion ZT3200, Windows XP Home (OEM), SP2. The Comcast Home Network is using a LinkSys cable modem/wireless router. I get excellent reception on my notebook and second PC.

I recently switched from a dial-up ISP to a cable ISP. I immediately noticed three things:

1. My notebook does not display the entire web site, (my primary and second PC do display OK). It cuts out the top of the web page that supposedly runs on Macromedia Flash. According to Macromedia I have the latest Flash installed. If any of you are familiar with Comcast the part of the 'Start Page that doesn't display is the Show Cover Area'. Comcast says it's not their problem, there is something on the notebook causing this. Anyone have any ideas what is going on?

2. Some of the graphics in the Comcast Web email and Outlook Express do not display. I see a little red 'X' and a file name next to it, i.e., PICTURE.JPG. I vaguely remember a setting that fixed that for Outlook Express. Now the problem is back and Comcast support say they won't help. This affects the PCs and notebook. Well, can anyone help me with this?

3. I also noticed when the notebook is on the Home Network, USB drives (small flash memory devices, 32MB, 128MB etc.) are not recognized. If I shut off the Home Network Connection, the USB drive is recognized. Looking into the problem, it states an I/O error is occuring. Describing the situation it is as follows: I have a 1.1 USB Hub plugged into the USB port on the notebook. Into the hub I have a Logitech cordless mouse receiver plugged in. When I plug in a USB flash memory device trying to move a file from my PC to the notebook, that's when the USB device is not recognized. It worked fine before Comcast. To get the USB device recognized I shut off the Home Networking connection using the networking on/off swith on the notebook. I tried using a 2.0 USB hub, and unplugging the Logitech cordless mouse receiver, no success. Any ideas?

Thank you, any and all help will be appreciated greatly.
