Many laptop owners find the repair cost to not be worth it so they plug in some USB speakers or the usual USB to headphone 10 buck or less thing.
I have an HP Pavilion dvd-6c15nr Entertainment PC. Sound worked 2 weeks ago. Today, no sound. I ran troubleshooter and get "all devices working" however, when I try to play music, I get "no sound device". My volume icon shows a red x on it; when clicked, I get a window "checking audio service" and then "troubleshooter can't identify the problem" I'm at a loss as to what to do. Anyone have any ideas?
I have Windows 7.
