And see if your credit card doubled it. I find such machines often need a new motherboard.
I have tried discharging the machine and I have tried using an identical power brick. The machine is completely nonresponsive when I press the power button, no lights, fans, sounds, ect. I've been having a lot of trouble with it lately. About a month ago I tried turning it on, and I got the "blue screen of death". I used startup repair, which said that it could not fix the problem. I tried rebooting it, and it started up fine, but windows explorer was not functioning properly. I had to cancel explorer.exe and restart it in order for it to work. That's happened 4 times in the past month. Also, sometimes it won't charge, and runs until it dies. Then I have to leave it plugged in for around 30 minutes before it will start again. As of now, it hasn't been able to start for 4 hours.
