hp pavilion built in webcam

by gc_shotta / March 15, 2008 9:32 AM PDT

hi i have a hp pavilion tx1000 cto notbook and i had to reformat becaue my computer caught a serious virus. I then had to download all the drivers and software from the hp website however i downloaded the hp pavilion webcam because the computer has a built in webcam but when i try to use it in msn messanger to talk with my friends it doesn't work. when i try to set up the video and webcam settings in messanger it says that my webcam is being used by another program or its not pluged in to the ubs properly but its built in and i am not running any other programs that use the webcam. when i check device manager it says that the hp pavilion webcam is working properly. can anyone help me why does it not work and how can i fix this problem?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
