Hp Officejet H470 Printer driver for Windows 98se

by now610 / January 21, 2010 1:21 PM PST

I have an old computer with Win 98 SE on it. Made by Legends. Intel Pentium II with 320 MB RAM. The HP printer I had with it died and I bought a new HP Officejet H470 mobile printer to use with my laptop. Was wondering if there is any kind of universal driver or HP driver that might run the new printer on the Win98 operating system. I know it is probably a long shot. I'm not a great tech guy but I thought someone out there might be able to find a driver that might work on my old system. I don't do a lot of printing on it. It does have a couple of USB ports on the old computer, but I don't know what speed.

Maybe it might be easier just to buy an old refurbished printer somewhere. Can someone help?

Thanks for your reply R. As mentioned, I bought it primarily for my laptop but thought it might also be able to double for the older system if the right driver would be available. Went to the HP link you provided and am waiting for an answer from HP. Will let you know what they say.
