Hp Notebook DVD recording

Aug 24, 2004 7:09AM PDT

I just bought a HP Notebook zv5260us with a dvd recorder. I want to know how to hook up my notebook to my computer to copy a dvd. Do I need to buy any additional accessories? Also, my notebook runs on windows xp and my computer runs on windows me, does that make a difference. OR would it be easier to hook it up to my TV and record and all of the same questions apply (do I need to purhase anything else)to copy this dvd.

"I want to know how to hook up my notebook to my computer to copy a dvd."

Why is such a hookup needed? DVDSHRINK will copy that DVD without another PC in the mix.

As to recording TV, you need a video capture card or such and nothing is noted in your post.

Note that I will not offer any support for DVDSHRINK or tell you where to get it. Don't ask.

Thank you for your response and I will take your advice and go there now. I actually have a DVD that was made and I want to copy that one too, but I am still on my way to share connector. Thank again!

If you have a DVD recorder in your Notebook, you don't need another PC to copy a DVD. However, if the DVD is copywrighted, most software will not allow you to copy the DVD.

Hi and Thanks for your response. I have a DVD that was made from my old work place that I wanted to copy and give a friend and don't know how to copy it from the place I am playing it from, weather it be a DVD player on my PC or TV. Should I just copy it to one of them and then copy it to a DVD?
