HP not recognizing drivers

Nov 12, 2010 5:23AM PST

I have an HP Deskjet 932c that I can't get to work with my Mac running 10.3
I know it is an old operating system but the HP website says its supported and I downloaded the new drivers from HP website (2.7.1 drivers). But when I try to add the printer in print & fax control panel, it gives me an error.
I select USB (because it's plugged in via USB) and it lists HP930c 2.3.1. I click to add it and it says "server-error-service-unavailable". There is also the little cursor which says it is looking for new drivers but even after it's finished and I reload console it still gives me the error.
It's not recognizing the new 2.7.1 drivers I installed on the Mac; what folder are those drivers supposed to be in anyways?
