Question

Hp nc-8430

Laptop wont start up.Yellow light on charger light flashes,but thats it.

Try the old laptop generic reset and then get prices on motherboard, charger and battery.

It's a friend of mines.I am trying to get it to power up.I do fix pc's on the side thou.

It's a long shot. Try the generic reset one more time. Pull the battery, ac, press and hold the power button for 60 seconds. Release, apply AC (battery is likely dead!) and try one last time.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
