HP Mini 2140 Netbook (NN357EA) 2Gb

Jun 17, 2009 11:11PM PDT

I'm thinking about buying a HP Mini 2140 Netbook (NN357EA) 2Gb and would like to know if anybody here has tried installing Windows 7 on it, and if so how did the machine cope with it?
Any other observations about this particular Netbook would be welcome.
Thanks

Haven't tried that one, but since most netbooks run on a the same basic hardware, I can tell you Windows 7 runs fine, even with Aero although that kind of has a CPU running more than you may want. As for the 2140, I'm not sure about the exact one you're getting but most have a slightly lower resolution than most netbooks (1024x576 vs 1024x600) but you might want to look for the HD one that has a 1366x768 resolution

the information. I am looking to get the HD version so I shouln't have any problems. Just need to wait now until HP offer the upgrade on new purchases, which is due to start next month according to most people who know about these things.
Thanks again for your help
