HP Media Center PC m1050e

I have a fairly (a month at most) pc that i am aving problems with. it seems that when i try to play a media file that is not streeming such as mysc or video off my hard drive (live tv and streeming internet video/music do not do this, but dvd does)i seem to get a skip it the media every 30-90 seconds. I have had this problem since i got the pc and have even called HP. I was told to do many things. none of which permently fixed this problem. any help would be appreciated. i am now listing what i have from the reciept of my pc. hope this helps you help me... Happy if any extra info is needed im sure i can find it for you...

another idea...it could be hardware related

your case could be over heating, just slightly
but enough to have your sound card or southbridge (southbridge does audio if your using integrated sound, it's a chip on the motherboard) hot enough to skip in the audio, which happens if they get to hot
it's easy to heat them up, as they don't even have heat spreaders or heat sinks

try running with the case side off
and see if that fixes it

I'll try running it with its case off. The other option didnt sound too good though, because this happens in the Media center program and any other program on the computer...

I screwed up that last post... I was wondering, could I put another fan in tis somehow? removing a side of the case seemed to help, but it kind of bothers me that i might get something in there. I am kinda of clumsey at lines... Happy Please get back to me.
